Additionally, livestock in the area also face the same challenges. The authorities must ensure that both people and animals in this region are given the opportunity to benefit from this vital water source. It is a well-known fact that this year has seen significantly less rainfall than usual. In these challenging times, they earnestly beseech Allah to shower them with His mercy and blessings.

A key priority will be focusing on connecting these new boreholes to the main pump station in Geedeeble, a vital step in ensuring efficient distribution. The widespread water scarcity currently affecting Somaliland underscores the absolute necessity of harnessing their underground water resources. This is a top priority for their government. The recent acquisition of the deep drilling rig is a most timely and essential investment. The engineer has highlighted its impressive capabilities, including the ability to drill to depths of up to 600 meters. While water was discovered at a relatively shallow 22 meters in this particular instance, such deep drilling capabilities will undoubtedly be critical in other areas where water resources lie far deeper
